Case study in top 20 REF case studies

Sep 15: 'Stamp out sleeping sickness', submitted by Prof Sue Welburn (DIPM), has been selected as one of the UK Collaborative on Development Sciences (UKCDS) top 20 favourite impact stories.

These stories were selected from the 6,975 impact case studies submitted to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) – the system that’s used to assess the research quality of all UK universities, and were chosen as the most impressive examples of UK research contributing to global development. 

The 20 engaging impact stories ranged from crop-raiding elephants to  bringing peace to Nepal and highlight just how important research is to inclusive, sustainable development.
