Sep 15: Congratulations to Dr Mark Hughes who has been awarded the prestigious Syme medal by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh

Dr Mark Hughes

Dr Mark Hughes, a former PhD student in CIP and a current ECAT clinical lecturer in neurosurgery, has been awarded with the prestigious Syme medal from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for his PhD thesis titled 'Engineering neuronal networks on silicon: towards improved neuroprosthetics and ‘silico-neural’ computers'. Congratulations!

The Syme Medal is a prestigious mark of excellence awarded by the College to a Fellow or Member of the College on the basis of a recently submitted thesis (MD or PhD), or published body of research, or educational development.
