University is finalist in Green Gown Awards 2016
For the third year in a row the University of Edinburgh has successfully been recognised as a finalist in two categories in the Green Gown Awards.
Administered by the Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges (EAUC), the Green Gown Awards recognise the exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities, colleges and the learning and skills sectors across the UK. The University of Edinburgh is a finalist in two categories:
- Facilities and Services – for our approach to responsible investment
- Learning and Skills – for the Our Changing World public lecture series and undergraduate course.
Stage one applications for the Awards closed in June and a judging panel, consisting of over 80 representatives from the diversity of the tertiary education sector and experts in the various fields, provided a shortlist of finalist entrants. As a finalist, the University will now submit its stage two application in September.
