GDPR updates to the Freedom of Information Database

Updates to the Freedom of Information Database have been completed to comply with GDPR legislation ahead of the deadline

This project has delivered changes to the Freedom of Information (FoI) Database to comply with GDPR legislation ahead of the 25 May deadline.  The changes are in relation to the Request Handling Monitor functionality within the database which is used to log incoming information requests and track progress.

The changes involved giving the administrators of the Request Handling Monitor the ability to create the new request types to accommodate GDPR (GDPR Subject Access Requests and GDPR Right to request to correct/erase/object/restrict data) and make the pre GDPR request types redundant.

Additionally, the project has ensured that pre and post GDPR requests can be searched for and reported to provide legislative and management reporting and for auditing purposes using existing functionality.
