Organisation

Information Services (IS) is led by the Chief Information Officer and Librarian to the University, and organised into 8 divisions.

IS Corporate Office

The IS Corporate Office provides support to the CIO and the divisions to manage the smooth running of IS and its interactions within the wider University community.

IT Infrastructure

IT Infrastructure is a division of Information Services. It provides a range of infrastructure services across IT and Telephony.

Learning, Teaching and Web

Supports learning, teaching and outreach for an enhanced student experience.

Library & University Collections

Library and University Collections (L&UC) is responsible for the University of Edinburgh’s digital and physical collections. We work in partnership to deliver the services that bring our collections to the university community and the wider public.

User Services Division

User Services Division (USD) delivers services to users of libraries, IT and learning technology, and provides help, advice and consultancy on all IS services.

EDINA and Data Library

EDINA provides online services and resources for UK Higher and Further Education. The Data Library assists staff and students in the discovery, access, use and management of datasets for research and teaching. Together they are a division of Information Services.
