  • Friday 21 February 2020: deadline to apply for this opportunity
  • Wednesday 4 March: Meet the Organiser event (casual pitch about your product or service)
  • Friday 24 July - Sunday 2 August: Edinburgh Food Festival

Social Investment Scotland Open to student social enterprises and local social enterprises

Student-led and local social enterprises are welcome to apply for this opportunity, however, they must have a food or drink product to sell or offer a food or drink service which can be demonstrated or taught. Organisations must also be available for the key dates above. In the application form, social enterprises are given the option to choose to exhibit for a weekend or seven to ten days.

Ways social enterprises can attend include:

  • Prepared food/street food stall
  • Scottish produce stall
  • Demonstration/talk/tasting
  • Hands-on workshop/class/tasting

Be aware sales commission may apply.

Successful social enterprises can make sales and exhibit, or showcase their offering during demonstrations, at the Edinburgh Food Festival; which has been going since 2015 and welcomed over 35,000 visitors in 2019.

We’ve coordinated this opportunity to raise the profile of social enterprise in a mainstream environment, offering enterprises the opportunity to sell their products, showcase their offering and impact, and highlight social alternatives to the general public. The Edinburgh Food Festival offers a platform to present your work in a variety of formats... The Festival is a great opportunity to develop your brand, raise awareness of your cause and make lasting connections within the community.
