A postgraduate degree is a second degree for university graduates, leading to a masters or PhD qualification. Some of our postgraduate degrees are taught entirely online so you can study while you work in your home country.
Covid-19 pandemic: Online information sessions
Our online information sessions can be accessed from anywhere in the world, whether you're thinking about Postgraduate or Undergraduate study. This is your opportunity to ask questions about your programme and keep up to date with developments during the Covid-19 emergency.
Applications for second degrees should be made directly to the University of Edinburgh.
The University uses an online application system which can be found on the right hand side of each programme page within the degree finder.

Entry to many areas of the University is very competitive, so high standards of performance are generally required. Specific requirements vary from course to course.
Integrated English for Academic Purposes (IEAP)
International postgraduate applicants can now apply to the new IEAP programme.
The advantage of the IEAP is that it allows international applicants to apply for one student visa covering pre-sessional English language training and a chosen postgraduate masters course.
