Festive Holiday 2023/24
For the 2023 festive period, the University will close at 5pm on Thursday 21 December 2023, and reopen at 9am on Wednesday 3 January 2024.

Support
We know that the Christmas period can be difficult for some. We have support services available for those who need it.
The University Listening Service will be offering 24/7 support across the winter break for all staff and students, and is contactable through the University Security Team on 0131 650 2257.
Financial support will be available to students across the winter break. We will also ensure access to emergency financial support, again through contact with Security on 0131 650 2257.
Students in University-managed accommodation
The Residence Life Team will be organising a small number of events over the winter break. These events will be advertised via email and on the University’s Residence Life Facebook pages.

Any urgent wellbeing concerns can be raised through the Community Support Team on 0131 667 1971 and they can provide assistance or escalate to the on-call Residence Life Team.
Any non-urgent concerns can be emailed to reslife@ed.ac.uk who will respond within 72 hours.
All lockouts, maintenance issues, noise complaints, immediate safety or security issues should be directed to the Community Support Team on 0131 667 1971 or security24-7@ed.ac.uk.
