Meet the Clinical Education Team
The core programme team comprises our highly experienced eProgramme Support Officers and tutors with varied clinical backgrounds and extensive experience in higher education. We are actively engaged in the scholarship of teaching and learning; undertaking research projects and contributing to national and international conferences. As well as being participants in the University of Edinburgh community of scholars; we have an expanding network of national and international links. Our practice as educators is underpinned by an 'ethic of hospitality' whereby we seek to welcome people into an environment where all are valued and feel able to make a contribution.

Research
Research is an integral part of the Clinical Education programme; it informs our teaching, which is delivered by a research active multiprofessional team. Where possible, we give participants the opportunity to contribute directly to our programme of research through the MSc dissertation and we support graduates to disseminate their work via conferences, peer reviewed journals and our own series of research briefings.
Research interests of tutors involved with the programme include:
- Graduate attributes
- Assessment and feedback
- Inter-professional education
- Experiences of online learning and teaching
- Memory, media and learning
- Junior doctors as teachers
