Instructions for RE-SUBMISSIONS

How to re-submit your ethics application.

Please adhere to the following guidance if the LLC Research Ethics Committee (REC) requested that you re-submit your ethics application. If you wish to make an amendment to an ethics application which was previously given a favourable opinion, please refer to Instructions for AMENDMENTS. 

  • You should be able to edit your original application before re-submitting it for review. However, the system can be temperamental, so if you are unable to edit your original application, please submit a new one. 

  • In either case, preface the title of your project with “RE-SUBMISSION” so that reviewers can see immediately that it is a re-submitted application. 

  • Ensure that you revise the dates of your project on the application. 

  • Ensure that your resubmitted application addresses all the issues which were highlighted by reviewers in the original application. Any issues which are not addressed are likely to result in the application being returned to you. 

  • Do not begin research until you have secured a favourable opinion from the REC.
