PAHRC members

Members of the Physical Activity for Health Research Centre (PAHRC) team.

The Physical Activity for Health Research Centre (PAHRC) was led by Professor Nanette Mutrie, Chair in Physical Activity for Health, until her retirment in January 2022.  PAHRC is currently being led by two Co-Directors, Dr Samantha Fawkner SFHEA and Dr Graham Baker.

Within PAHRC, there are currently 20 core research members whose research focuses almost exclusively on physical activity for health. We are an interdisciplinary team and our current core members are made up of psychologists, physiologists, policy experts and systematic review experts. There are 25 associate members of PAHRC who are researchers at the University of Edinburgh who see physical activity for health as one aspect of their work. There is also one honorary professor and one honorary fellow.

Links on members names (below) lead to their profile pages which include details about research and publications.

External members: We also welcome academics, practitioners, students and others outwith the University of Edinburgh, who are interested in our work to join as external members of PAHRC. External members will receive updates on our work and invitations to research/knowledge exchange seminars, workshops or events via newsletters.
