Third year students Scott Gibson (Accounting and Business) and Katie Robertson (Neuroscience) had big weekends. Scott was pivotal in the relays for the men as well as taking Bronze in a hotly contested 50 Backstroke. For most of the team, this was their first exposure to BUCS completion and some of our first year athletes were superb. Katie Goodburne (Biological Sciences), a sprint specialist, took Silver in the 50m Breast behind Kara for an Edinburgh one-two and Bronze in the 50m Free. She also secured fourth in the 100m Free, in an incredibly close race where 0.2 separated 2nd and 4th.

Ciara Schlosshan (Politics, Philosophy and Economics) took Silver in her signature 200m Fly as well as picking up BUCS points in the 400IM. Second year student Uiseann Cooke (Electrical and Mechanical Engineering) made his presence known in the 200m breast claiming Silver, just outside the Irish National record.
