The Festive Fives Cup
The inaugural Festive Fives Cup took place on Monday 19 November.
The joint initiative between University of Edinburgh Sport & Exercise and Edinburgh University Sports Union saw teams from across the University take part in a friendly and fun World Cup style 5-a-side tournament at Peffermill.
Festive Fun
Designed to offer an inexpensive activity for students who were remaining in the city during the festive break, the tournament was enjoyed by over 50 students. Entry was only £5 per team with all proceeds being donated to the Volunteer Zambia fund. In a close fought tournament it was the team from Edinburgh University Futsal club who came out on top in the final.
Free Festive Fives
Throughout the festive season, University of Edinburgh Sport & Exercise are also offering students the opportunity to book five-a-side pitches at Peffermill for free.
