Dr. Morgera invited to Finland to discuss emission reductions

Dr. Elisa Morgera has been invited by the University of Eastern Finland to participate in a knowledge-exchange event on ‘Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation’ (REDD+).

REDD+ will take place as part of the 'Multilateral Environmental Negotiations: From Global to Local' knowledge exchange event with the European Forest Institute in Joensuu.

Dr. Morgera will present her research on the interactions between the international climate change regime and the Convention on Biological Diversity.

In addition, she will lead a seminar on EU climate change law and its international applications, with Dr. Kati Kulovesi.

Dr. Morgera lectures at the university in European and Environmental Law and is currently a steering group member of GESA.
