IDEAL home energy advice project underway

A University-led initiative to reduce the energy consumption of domestic households has been launched.

The project argues that reducing energy demand from existing domestic dwellings through occupant behaviour change is crucial for reducing UK carbon emission.

They also believe that this programme will help the increasing numbers of households struggling to pay their energy bills.

This multi-disciplinary project will bring together a team of computer scientists, building engineers and sociologists from all areas of the University, including the School of Social and Political Science, the School of Informatics and the School of Geosciences.
