Pay your tuition fees with UK government funding
How your fees are paid will depend on your level of study and the type of funding you have. In all cases, you will need to start the process by applying for funding.
Undergraduate funding from SAAS
The Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) pays your funding directly to the University. You need to apply for funding for each year of your course.
Undergraduate funding from Student Finance (Student Loans Company)
The Student Loans Company (SLC) pays your tuition fee loan directly to the University. You need to apply for tuition fee loans to Student Finance England, Wales or Northern Ireland for each year of your course.
Postgraduate funding from SAAS and Student Finance Northern Ireland
This type of postgraduate funding is paid directly to the University. We will invoice you for any remaining fees not covered by the loan.
Postgraduate funding from Student Finance England and Wales
This type of postgraduate funding is paid directly to you, and not to the University. We will invoice you for the full amount of your tuition fees.
Funding from the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man
If you receive funding for your tuition fees from the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, you must send your award letter to the Fees team.
Pay your tuition fees with an NHS bursary
Once your NHS bursary is confirmed, you must send us proof of your funding. If your bursary does not cover all your tuition fees, then you must pay the remaining sum.
