Innovative Healthcare Delivery Programme

Building connections to drive innovation

There's been a few changes in IHDP recently - find out who we are and what we do!

What is IHDP?

The Innovative Healthcare Delivery Programme (IHDP) builds connections across health and care sectors to transform the use of data and drive improvements in health and wellbeing for patients and health professionals in Scotland.

Who are we?

Funded by the Scottish Government and working closely with Public Health Scotland (PHS), IHDP is hosted by The University of Edinburgh’s Usher Institute. Our team combine a unique set of skills to ensure that a wide range of sector knowledge is available to deliver on the programme aims.

Current and future programme developments

Building on IHDP’s work in the cancer data sector, we are currently working with policy teams across Scottish Government, PHS Scottish National Audit Programme and with other external innovation partners to deliver on our key impact areas:

  • transforming the use of data in healthcare
  • supporting innovation in digital health
  • involving patients in digital health.

These draw on our strengths in building stakeholder connections across organisations and sector boundaries and our understanding of key aspects in delivery of data driven projects across the health and care sector in Scotland.

More detailed information on each of these programme developments will be communicated over the coming months.
