Learning & Teaching

We take pride in fostering a learning and teaching environment that is not only academically rigorous, but responsive to the evolving needs of our students, to ensure they are prepared for the opportunities and challenges that await them.

We support and deliver teaching that focuses on experience, employability and an understanding of the value of creativity, curiosity, and challenges.

We’re proud of our world-class academic community who are passing on their passion to our students. Many of our staff deliver public lectures, talks and workshops throughout the year, within the University and as part of festivals and conferences, both at home and abroad. With expertise across a range of research areas, staff regularly publish articles and books, and are interviewed in the media.

Teaching staff are regularly recognised for their teaching, research supervision, tutoring and support at the annual Students’ Association Teaching Awards as well as within the School through locally organised awards.
