Where we can make more progress 

The Community Plan covers five years (2020-2025) and we know we can’t achieve everything in the first year. There are some things we are planning to work on in the coming years.

Covid-19 prevented us from making progress on certain commitments that we had intended to work on, e.g. working to open up more of our estate for community use.  

Below are areas which we haven’t made much, or any progress on, but will endeavour to do so in future years.  

Commitment 7: Work with local communities to find new ways in which local residents can take part in community planning. 

Commitment 11: Work more closely with our alumni in Edinburgh and the wider region as a source of expertise, volunteers and a vital link to our local communities.

Commitment 28: Designate a physical front door on each of our campuses all year round, so that members of our community know how to reach us in person.

Commitment 29: Trial opening up some of our buildings to allow community bookings on a cost-free basis.
