Babble Issue Six
Creative writing on the theme of 'music'. Launch date: 1st April 2021.
We are delighted to introduce the sixth issue of our online Creative Writing magazine, Babble, the theme of which is ‘music’.
Whether music accompanied you on walks, whilst studying, or connected you across the miles with loved ones - this issue is for you. Wherever you find yourself reading this, we hope it brings you some joy. So without further ado, let the music play...
Issue Six features 29 contributions by 30 students across our European languages: 25 on the theme of ‘music’; four in the ‘melting pot’ section.
A huge well done to all concerned for pulling this bumper issue together remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. This just might be our biggest group of student writers ever!
Babble is a Creative Writing magazine for students in European Languages and Cultures at the University of Edinburgh.
We’re an online magazine, a creative space for you to practise your target language(s) and receive useful feedback and guidance on your work, whether that’s prose, drama, poetry or reviews.
We want to showcase what you’re good at, grow our sense of community, and promote multilingualism.
The first issue of Babble was supported by alumni and friends of the University of Edinburgh through an Innovation Initiative Grant. In March 2021, Issue Six's editorial committee was nominated for The Dean of Students Award for Contribution to Student Experience in the CAHSS Recognition Awards.
Babble is perhaps the finest symbol of our efforts to make DELC a welcoming, collaborative and encouraging community of linguists, whatever language they practise.
