The University of Edinburgh SharePoint User Forum

The User Forum is an online discussion space via Yammer where users can share thoughts and ideas on how to improve our skills and methods of online collaboration through SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 apps.

  • While the main SharePoint User Forum page is a location for posting SharePoint news, application updates, event announcements, and general troubleshooting, the following subgroups provide a space for our communities of practice, focusing on specific areas:

SharePoint Development Community (Link to Yammer Group - University Login Required)

  • A technical group covering best practice and governance around SharePoint development.

Power Platform Community (Link to Yammer Group - University Login Required)

  • A technical group covering best practice and governance in relation to the Power Platform Apps - Power Automate and Power Apps.

The User Forum will also include information on user events and workshops, as well as keep users up to date with the latest SharePoint news and M365 app updates.

Please note that the User Forum is not intended for direct technical support, or to provide authorisation to access sites or document libraries. (Such assistance will continue to flow through IS Helpline - details below.) Instead, the User Forum will function as a platform for knowledge capture, and as an interactive way to enrich a user’s understanding of SharePoint.
