MyEd is the University of Edinburgh's web portal. It is a gateway to web-based services within and beyond the University and offers a personalised set of content with single sign on to key University services such as Learn and Office365.

Videoconferencing suites located in the Central area, Kings Buildings and at Holyrood may be booked by members of staff using the v-scene management and scheduling service of janet. Advice and consultancy is also available for those wishing to procure and setup their own videoconferencing facilities

Event Booking

The Event Booking service is an administrative tool for the scheduling of internal courses, allowing available course searches and online booking.

IS Managed Mobile Service

The University of Edinburgh’s managed mobile service offers flexible packages on a range of smartphones and mobile devices for staff. Please be aware - due to extremely high demand and stock limitations with our hardware supplier, stock of Mobile Devices is currently very limited. As of 13th March 2020 we will not be able to guarantee that your order will arrive within the usual stated time of 5 working days.

Electronic Voting & Electoral System (EVES)

The Electronic Voting & Electoral System (EVES) helps Information Services deliver a secure and reliable online (or paper) balloting service to election providers. The process, audit and count report supplied is approved by University Court and the Electoral Reform Society, conforming to Electoral Reform Society guidelines for single-seat (transferrable) or multi-seat (WIGM STV) elections.


UniDesk is used for logging, tracking and reporting on service incidents.

Business Reporting & Analytics

The Business Reporting & Analytics service aims to is to offer and support a range of Business Intelligence (BI) tools to encourage and make possible evidence-based, quantitative and predictive decision-making.

Committee Intranets

A Committee Intranet is effectively a restricted Document and Content Management System, specifically for Committee information and papers.
