Accessibility in Office 365
Accessibility features exist in Office 365 to enable disabled users to work more effectively with the service.
Outlook Web App - Light version
A 'Light' version of the Outlook Web App is available and provides a much simpler interface than the standard version, reduced in both appearance and function. As it is HTML-based it can work better with various assistive technologies.
You can enable the Light version in the following way:
- Log into your account at http://www.office365.ed.ac.uk and use the App Launcher button at the top left to go to 'Mail'.
- At the top right, click the cog icon and choose 'Options'.
- Expand the 'General' section of the options list and select 'Light version'.
- Tick the box marked 'Use the light version of Outlook'.
This change should take effect the next time you log in.
