Prof Jürgen Haas met with pupils from Cargilfield School

Professor Jürgen Haas delivered a virtual "Meet Our Scientist" session to the S2 class at Cargifield School in Edinburgh.

The pupils were particularly interested in the SARS-CoV2 that has caused the COVID19 pandemic. They asked many inquisitive questions about how the various vaccines are being developed. There were also lots of brilliant questions about how viruses mutate, infect and spread.

The teacher Mr Tinkler said that events like this will inspire the pupils to study science and become scientists in the future.
