Prestigious parliamentary Fellowship for CCBS student

Dec 2018: Congratulations to Maggi Laurie, who has been awarded a prestigious Fellowship in the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology.

Maggi Laurie, a PhD student in CCBS, is one of two recipients who have been selected for a joint scheme between the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST). The programme sees two postgraduate students work to produce briefing notes for parliamentarians.

Maggi’s PhD focuses on how digital technologies shape interpersonal interactions in autistic children. Maggi will spend 3 months at POST helping to develop evidence-based briefings for MPs on topics related to her expertise - such as autism practice, or screentime and child development.
