Alexander Group

About Us

We study microbial population dynamics and evolution, using mathematical modelling and experiments.

We are based in the Institute of Ecology and Evolution. We are also affiliated with the Centre for Engineering Biology, the Centre for Adapting to Changing Environments, and the Edinburgh Infectious Diseases network.

Our research is funded by the Royal Society, the Wellcome Trust - University of Edinburgh Institutional Strategic Support Fund, and individual PhD scholarships.
