Information about the SGSSS Summer School

Aim

Every June, SGSSS hosts the popular Summer School. The Summer School is open to all PhD students in the Social Sciences at any of our member institutions.

The Summer School programme is a mix of courses on qualitative and quantitative methods, skills and with a strong social aspect. This is one of the best opportunities of the calendar year to meet other PhD students!

Content for Summer School has been contributed by academic colleagues from across Scotland, but they also include external course providers. 

On average, over 200 students attend this event and can choose from a range of up to 40 workshops over 3 days.

Eligibility 

The Summer School is open to all PhD students in the Social Sciences at any of SGSSS member institutions.
