Coastal and Marine Systems

Our manned and unmanned aircraft can be used to study and monitor our changing coastlines and the life they support.

Airborne imaging sytems are able to provide extremely high resolution data, repeated over time, allowing us to monitor cosatal change and geomorphology. They also provide a non-intrusive means to monitor populations of marine mammals. To date our aircraft and sensor systems have been used in applications including boat-launched whale spotting, studying sand bar geomorphology and developing techniques for automated detection and quantification of coastal plastic pollution.
