Usher Institute Annual Lecture and Showcase 2021

We are delighted to welcome Professor Sir Martin Landray to give the Usher Institute Annual Lecture 2021:

Lessons from and opportunities after the RECOVERY trial

Professor Sir Martin Landray joins us from the University of Oxford, where he is Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology, Nuffield Department of Population Health and co-Chief Investigator for the RECOVERY Trial.

Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit

In the first hour, the lecture will be complemented by a showcase of work from across the Usher Institute.

The 2021 showcase has a focus on clinical trials and begins with an overview of the Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit, followed by five short presentations that exemplify the excellent collaboration between the unit and researchers as they work together to develop, design and deliver world-class research that greatly benefits human health.  We will hear a short presentation on some key COVID-19 research from the Usher Institute, before hearing from our keynote speaker, Professor Sir Martin Landray.

The event is open to all. We anticipate it will be of most relevance to those working in, or with an active interest in, clinical trials and COVID-19 research.
