Your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)

A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is an electronic document that confirms to the UK Home Office that the University of Edinburgh wishes to sponsor your study in the UK. It’s an essential part of the student visa application process.

Find out how to request a CAS and the process for receiving the final document by watching the video.

Getting your visa application right

Before you apply for your visa, make sure you know the type of immigration permission you will need and what the requirements are. UK rules on immigration can be strict so ensure you have everything you need before starting the application process. This includes how much time you need to allow for the application to be approved.

Find out how the Student Immigration Service can help you to get everything in place for beginning your studies at Edinburgh.

There are plenty of detailed resources on the website, to help support you with your visa application.
