PPLS School community
- Philosophy is part of the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences, known locally as PPLS.
- Our vibrant and diverse School community is home to over 1700 undergraduates from more than 60 countries.
- Throughout your studies you’ll be supported by a combination of academic and dedicated student experience and administrative staff, and our own School Student Support Office, to ensure that your university experience is a positive one.

PPLS Societies
- There are 4 PPLS School societies, PhilSoc, PsychSoc, CogSciSoc and LingSoc, which are open to everyone.
- PhilSoc – founded in 1871, is one of the largest and most active student philosophy societies in the UK. The society runs 4 events every week, including guest lectures, discussion groups and reading groups, as well as copious socials and academic support sessions.
