The Postgraduate Discovery Day event runs three times a year to give you a general introduction to on-campus study at The University of Edinburgh. The event consists of popular general sessions equipping you with the information you need if you are considering postgraduate study with us, including: How to Make an Application and Funding Your Studies. The next event takes place on Wednesday 23 April 2025. You can view general interest sessions and register for the Postgraduate Discovery Day.

Programme Introduction Sessions

4 April - 29 April 2025. Online with Microsoft Teams

Join us for an introduction to our MSc programmes. Programme Directors will provide an overview of the structure of this degree, the skills you will gain, and what it's like to study a postgraduate degree with us. 

You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions during the sessions.

An introduction to Edinburgh’s School of Divinity and to our range of postgraduate taught and research programmes, including both distance and on-site study. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers on any aspect of what we offer.

Postgraduate Research in Literatures, Languages and Cultures

Thursday 24 April 2025, 1:30-2:30 BST. Online through Microsoft Teams

Join LLC's Postgraduate Research Director, Dr Frauke Matthes, for an introduction to postgraduate research programmes in literatures, languages and cultures.
 
Find out about Masters by Research and PhD degrees and the relationship between them. What should you think about before you apply or, if you have already applied, before accepting an offer?
 
The session will also cover what subjects and topics we supervise in LLC, and why you should study in Edinburgh.

If there are no sessions for the academic programme you are interested in studying and you are looking to speak with academic staff or programme teams please look at your programme's Degree Finder webpage and contact staff directly via details provided there.
