Antigen Presenting Cells (APC) interactions

This encompasses three projects studying the interactions of antigen presenting cells (APC) with vaccines and pathogens.

Single Administration Vaccine Enhancement (SAVE)

Developing an implantable device that can deliver a vaccine booster into the skin.

Mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis (MAP)

Understanding immune responses, entry mechanisms and the pathogenesis of Mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis (MAP).

Natural Killer (NK) cell

Investigating the role of NK cells in BCG vaccine induced immunity.

Companion animal TB

Investigation of tuberculosis infection in cats and dogs.

Ocular TB

Furthering the understanding of ocular TB infection.

Bovine TB Diagnostics

Developing novel diagnostic tools for tuberculosis.

Macrophage team

The projects within this team focus on characterising macrophages in cattle and pigs.

Immunological Toolbox

The Immunological Toolbox is a BBSRC-funded initiative at the Roslin and Pirbright Institutes which aims to improve the availability of tools and reagents for livestock immunology research.
