Information about our Applied Sport Science and Sport Management programmes for applicants and offer holders.

At Moray House, we offer excellent facilities, professional placements and top-quality tuition that prepare you for a career in sport management or applied sport science. 

You will study at our Holyrood campus, in the heart of historic Edinburgh. We have a vibrant student community, and the campus offers social spaces to relax with friends or study. We also have an on-site library and swimming pool and we are based just around the corner from the Pleasance Sports Complex and Gym, one of the best university sports and gyms facilities in the UK.

The University of Edinburgh has facilities and societies which cater for 24 of the 26 Olympic sporting disciplines, with many students managing successful sporting careers alongside their studies with us. Our sporting alumni include former Scotland Rugby Captain Kelly Brown, Commonwealth gold medallist Sarah Adlington and Olympic diver Grace Reid.  

In year 3, you may choose to study abroad on comparable courses at universities in Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.


Students on our Sport Management programme will complete a work placement as part of your studies. This gives you a chance to combine theory or policy and practice in a real-world context. You’ll develop specific skills in the sports industry, as well as transferable skills that will make you more competitive on the job market.
