Wearing microphones
Should be done regardless of any perceived need
- This includes all of those who present, including guest lecturers and students, and contributions from members of theĀ audience.
- Speaking 'loudly & clearly' is not a substitute for the microphone (when available).
- All lecture rooms are equipped with at least one microphone which is maintained by IS staff and locally-based support staff.
- Where there is a single microphone, it should be passed to anyone who wishes to contribute (e.g. if an audience member wishes to ask a question).
- Catchbox microphones (in padded boxes), which can be thrown safely in a large spaces, are available in some spaces.
- Use of the microphone is required if lecture recording is taking place.
