EdWeb 2 Training

The process of migrating websites from the older EdWeb platform into EdWeb 2 is underway. Training is being offered to support web editors with this transition.

What training is available

We have developed a new course which covers the basics of using the new EdWeb 2 platform, 'EdWeb 2: 5 things to get started with EdWeb 2'. This course is tutor-led, and delivered either face to face in a classroom or online via Collaborate.

Who should attend

EdWeb 2 training is mandatory for all users who will be managing or editing a University of Edinburgh website within the EdWeb 2 platform.

At this stage, editors are being contacted directly and invited to attend this training course based on their sites migration date. This is to ensure that each site which is being migrated has trained users in place to support their website at the point in which it goes live in the EdWeb 2 platform.

What you will learn

The EdWeb 2: 5 things to get started with EdWeb 2 course is a 2 and a half hour hands-on course, where you will learn everything you need to know to allow you to get started with the EdWeb 2 platform. You will undertake a series of practical activities within your own training website to help you gain experience in using the platform. The session will be followed by an option half hour to ask any additional questions you may have. Topics include: 

• Browsing and creating webpages
• Adding content to webpages
• Publishing webpages
• Creating a landing page
• Website navigation with menus
