'Atlas of Hillforts of Britain and Ireland' now published
The final part of this major project has been published by Edinburgh University Press.
Just published by Edinburgh University Press, 'Atlas of the Hillforts of Britain and Ireland' by Gary Lock and Ian Ralston, brings together four years of work into the first comprehensive series of maps of the hillforts of Britain and Ireland - over 4,000 sites from Shetland to Cornwall to County Clare expertly assessed and analysed.
The project - An Atlas of Hillforts in Britain and Ireland - is a collaboration between the Universities of Edinburgh and Oxford, creating an online, interactive database of Iron Age hillforts across the Britain and Ireland
