The History subject area, Scottish History colleagues and the Scottish Centre for Diaspora Studies have jointly organised an event to mark the retirement of Professor Sir Tom Devine.

Event description

Proceedings will begin in the Meadows Lecture Theatre with a talk by Tom on the theme 'Then and Now: personal reflections on academic life in Scotland 1969-2014'.

Professors Douglas Cairns, Jill Stephenson, and Lindsay Paterson will deliver responses to Sir Tom's talk, to be followed by a general question and answer session.

There will be a reception thereafter (from 7pm) in the McEwen Hall Reception room.
