Fees and funding

Discounts and scholarships are available to eligible applicants. You may be able to receive support from your employer.

Fees

Tuition fees for entry for Postgraduate Certificate in Global Development, Environment or Health Challenges are:

  • The MSc in Global Challenges is awarded on successful completion of all three Postgraduate Certificates; the total fee is therefore the sum of the fees above.

The same fee applies to both EU and Overseas students.

A 10% discount is available to graduates of the University and alumni of the university's visiting undergraduate scheme. For details, see here:

Scholarships

The University offers a total of six scholarships for a number of specific online, distance learning Masters, including the MSc in Global Challenges (not the PG Certificates). This is open to students from selected countries and is based on academic merit.

The closing date is several months before the start of the programme, and you must have received an unconditional offer of a place on the MSc before you apply for the scholarship.

Employer support

Some students are supported in their studies by their employers with study time and/or contribution towards fees.

If you are seeking support from your employer you will probably need to demonstrate how the programme will contribute to your professional development in your current role. You will find the following pages for each programme useful to build a 'business case' for support from your employer:

  • The 'Approach' pages set the understanding, knowledge and skills each programme aims to develop.
  • The 'Course description' pages set out the capacities each individual course aims to develop.

If your employer has a policy of supporting continuing professional development, and may be willing to add these programmes to their approved list, they should contact the programme director for further information.
