Self-study course in Mathematics

We would highly recommend that you take some time to look over the Mathematics resources. You will definitely find them useful for preparing to join in September.

Mathematics Course

Basic Statistics Course

The School is pleased to offer a pre-sessional Basic Statistics Course, which you can attend free of charge.

The course consists of four two-hour lectures (they cover descriptive statistics, basic probability theory, introduction to probability distributions and statistical inference) and introduction to Stata (statistical software that you will use throughout the MSc) on the last day of the course. The course doesn't involve any assessment and its aim is to give you a brief introduction to statistics and econometrics before you start the compulsory courses on the MSc.

Much of the material covered in this course will be repeated again in the compulsory Foundations course, which you will take later in September, so don't worry if you find it a bit too fast, you will get a chance to go over the same topics in more depth again.

The course will be held from the 5th-9th of September.  Registration details will be available soon.
