We have an exciting programme of curriculum linked, hands-on science workshops and activities for primary, secondary and international schools. All workshops are led by experienced science communication professionals and are supported by scientists, vets and vet nurses.
Our Primary workshops, for pupils from P6 an P7, are fun, hands-on and curriculum-linked learning experiences that reveal the world of science and veterinary work. We give your pupils the opportunity to work with and speak with real scientists, vets and animal nurses while using their own scientific skills to reveal the world of animal science by doing it themselves.
Our Secondary school workshops, for pupils from S1 to S6, are all curriculum-linked, interactive and reveal the real-life science being done at The Roslin Institute, the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies and across the University of Edinburgh. We give your pupils the opportunity to speak with real scientists, vets and animal nurses.
We welcome booking from international schools and universities. Visiting the Easter Bush Science Outreach Centre is a fantastic opportunity to find out about research at The Roslin Institute, a world-leading centre for animal bioscience and birthplace of Dolly the Sheep.
The Easter Bush Science Outreach Centre is proud to be an Edinburgh Satellite, working with local Primary schools to get them hand-on with real-life science and learn about some of the science we do here at the University of Edinburgh's Easter Bush Campus
