Prof Song receives Honorary Degree
Professor Yonghua Song, Executive Vice-President of Zhejiang University and the founding Dean of the International Campus at Zhejiang University receives an honorary Doctor of Science degree from the University of Edinburgh
The award, which was presented by the University's Senior Vice-Principal Professor Charlie Jeffrey, is in recognition of his contributions to transnational education and forging China-UK links.
Professor Song received the honour at the Biomedical Sciences graduation ceremony which took place at the McEwan Hall on Saturday 29th June 2019.
Professor Song has been a serial innovator in developing UK-China transnational education and research activities. He was responsible for spearheading the new international campus of Zhejiang University and the development of the Zhejiang University-University of Edinburgh (ZJE Institute) focussing on Biomedical Education and Research.
