Chargeable Bookings

Room Hire Rates

Half-day bookings will be charged pro-rata. Bookings of between 4 and 8 hours will be charged at daily hire rates.  For Western General Hospital here is the information on charges.

Charge Bands 2 - 5 (anything other than Trust or University business) All bookings for which there is a charge will be subject to a non-refundable deposit of £50 before confirmation can be made. Failure to pay any deposit or to give a written undertaking will result in cancellation. Invoices will be issued for full charge less deposit in due course.

Rooms in the Chancellor's Building: Please send cheques for deposit to Mrs Alison O'Donnell, University of Edinburgh, The Chancellor's Building, Room SU205, 49 Little France Crescent, Edinburgh EH16 4SB.

Rooms in the Postgraduate Education Centre: Rooms in the Postgraduate Education Centre: please contact Jennifer Gierz at PECenquiriesRIE@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk with the room booking date, room, times of use and you will receive an email with the room hire amount. A purchase order will then need to be raised."

Rooms in the Western General Hospital: Please send cheques for deposit to: Medical Education Centre Room Booking Administrator, Medical Education Centre, 3rd Floor, Outpatients Department, Western General Hospital, Crewe Road South, Edinburgh, EH4 2XU. Cheques should be made payable to "The University of Edinburgh".

Rooms in George Square: Please send cheques for deposit to: Alan Gilchrist, The Chancellor's Building, Room GU309, 49 Little France Crescent, Edinburgh EH16 4SB. Cheques should be made payable to "The University of Edinburgh".

Commercial Clients Bookings for commercial clients can only be made at weekends, or evenings from 6pm onwards.

Hourly Rates (up to 4 hours) VAT at 20% will be added to all prices quoted.

Daily Rates (over 4 hours) VAT at 20% will be added to all prices quoted.
