If you normally live in Wales there are funds available to help you finance your time at university.
We’re committed to helping students of all ages and social backgrounds enter higher education and recruiting the best students regardless of financial situation.
If you're studying full time for your first degree, you may apply to Student Finance Wales for a loan and grant to cover your full tuition fees.
You can also apply to Student Finance Wales for loans and grants to help you with your living costs.
Government loans and grants can be used to study anywhere in the UK and will be available for the duration of your degree.
Grants are non-repayable - you do not need to pay them back.
You make one online application for your tuition fee loan, tuition fee grant and living cost support.
In addition to government funding, we offer the University of Edinburgh Scholarship that many of you will be eligible to receive. The amount you may receive depends on your residual household income.
We also offer a number of other bursaries and scholarships to new full-time undergraduate students.
You must apply for these bursaries and scholarships as early as possible after applying for admission.
The awards mean that university life away from home has been much more affordable and less burdensome. They have allowed me to buy all the relevant textbooks and a laptop.
Additional funding is available for UK students with children and also for disabled students.
Financial assistance may be available once you are here from the Discretionary Fund for UK Students.
If you are studying part time you may be eligible to apply for funding.
