Degree structure

The detailed content of your degree programme can be found in our Degree Programme Tables (DPTs). The DPTs for your year of study (2024-entry) have now been published. These are correct for your first year of study. Courses for your subsequent years are published each year in April.

Where you will study

The School of Social and Political Science is based in the Chrystal Macmillan Building in George Square, close to the Main Library and Students' Association buildings.

Your teaching will take place in the heart of the city in the Central Area campus.

The Chrystal Macmillan Building has its own cafe where you can relax with friends or study over a coffee.

Our Virtual Visit gives you the opportunity to discover the Chrystal Macmillan Building, the Main Library and other points of interest around campus. It's a great way to get a feel for what it's like to study and live in Edinburgh.
