I'm delighted that you have applied to study Law at Edinburgh.
Our community has a long history and tradition, but one which is also alive, and to which our students contribute and influence.
If you join us at Edinburgh, I hope that you will find your academic studies here to be intellectually stimulating - the law is an intellectual challenge, but one, you will find, that offers rich rewards.
University is an extraordinarily exciting experience offering the opportunity to learn from internationally-renowned scholars - that is our task - but also from your fellow students and to create enduring friendships.
