Semester dates for employment
Confirmation of semester and vacation dates for Tier 4-sponsored students.
Since 16th May 2014 employers have had a legal obligation to confirm the semester and vacation dates of any employee providing a Tier 4 visa as evidence of their permission to work in the UK.
By checking the semester and vacation dates employers are able to confirm the number of hours a Tier 4-sponsored student is permitted to work throughout the year.
It is the responsibility of both the employer and the Tier 4-sponsored employee to ensure that any work undertaken is done within the restrictions of the visa and UK immigration rules.
