Thesis title: The Leucippides in Greek Myth: Abductions, Rituals and Weddings

Background

Claudia has just completed her PhD in Classics at the University of Edinburgh, working on the Leucippides, the wives of the Dioscuri - the mythological twins, sons of Zeus. Her approach encompasses literary sources, iconography, and religious studies. She graduated from the Università di Torino, Italy, both at her Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.

Research summary

Claudia is mainly interested in Greek literature, myths and cults, and their interactions with a wider Indo-European and Mediterranean system.
