Further Resources
Guided meditations, books, and other mindfulness resources.
Guided meditations and podcasts
The meditations we use for the mindfulness courses for staff and students are from Mindfulness: a Practical Guide to Finding Peace in a Frantic World, by Mark Williams and Danny Penman. They are available freely here on SoundCloud, and also on Spotify and iTunes.
A large number of mindfulness practices recorded by the Oxford University Mindfulness Centre are available here.
We run twice-weekly lunchtime drop-ins, the guided practices of which are recorded and available here.
For after-hours mindfulness practice online, the Oxford Mindfulness Centre offers free weekly mindfulness sessions, Wednesdays 7-8pm, which it releases afterwards as a podcast.
Books
The coursebook for our student and staff courses is the bestselling Mindfulness: A Practical Guide to Finding Peace in a Frantic World, by Mark Williams and Danny Penman. The book is based on Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, and can be used to take yourself through a mindfulness programme at home.
The Mindful Way Workbook, by Teasdale, Williams and Segal, is a Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy workbook that you can take yourself through at home.
