The event, which is run by the Centre for Sports and Exercise’s June Adamson, takes place at the Pleasance Theatre.

It is an opportunity for the participating student societies to showcase their dance talents.

The dance styles on display included breakdancing, swing, cheerleading, Capoeira, salsa, tango and Scottish country dance, embracing a diverse range of cultures and nationalities.

The next Edinburgh University Dance Performance is scheduled to take place between 10 and 12 March 2011.
